Hypoport German House Price Index (HPX)

A large proportion of the private home loan mortgages in Germany are now transacted over the EUROPACE platform, a proprietary development of Hypoport AG. Currently, data held in the database is expanding at a monthly rate of 6,000-8,000 properties along with their prices. We derive the key statistics on the basis of anonymised data, representative of the entire market.

The group of HPX indexes creates transparency on the developments with residential property prices on the basis of square metre living space in Germany:

• HPX-apartment assesses prices for existing single apartments
• HPX-newhome is the index for newly-built single and double households
• HPX-existinghome tracks prices for existing single and double households
